Common questions

Where is my journal stored?
On your device only. Nothing is uploaded. See the privacy policy.

Will my entries move to a new phone?
No. Because nothing is stored on a server, entries stay on the device where they were written.

I cleared my browser and lost everything.
Unfortunately that erases local storage permanently, and we hold no backup.

Why does my mazal not match the zodiac sign I know?
Tachlis uses the Hebrew month of your birth, per Sefer Yetzirah, not the Gregorian zodiac. The Hebrew day also begins at nightfall, so a birth after sunset counts as the next Hebrew day.

Is this fortune telling?
No. The Talmud teaches ein mazal l'Yisrael. Tachlis presents the mazalot as a Torah framework for self-knowledge and avodah. Every interpretive statement in the app carries a tappable source, and where something is a modern synthesis rather than a classical teaching, it says so plainly.

I found a mistake in the Hebrew.
Please tell us the exact place and we will correct it. Accuracy in sacred text matters to us.

The daily reminder is not arriving.
Check that notifications are permitted for Tachlis in your device settings. In a web browser, scheduled reminders are limited; install the app for reliable delivery.
